Weekly Mowing Price Guide and What to expect

Our lawn mowing service prices typically range from $35-$58 per cut weekly. Prices are based on total lot size. A typical Mowing season consists of approximately 24 to 26 cuts. Depending on the weather we typically perform the first mowing in late March or early April. The first visit is to top off some of the dead growth, define edges and borders, and establish a mowing height. This visit also allows sunlight to get to the root zone and promote Spring growth. Once the turf begins to turn green and emerge out of dormancy, we will return on a bi-weekly schedule and increase to weekly as the growth rate increases. As the growth begins to slow in late September, we will return to a bi-weekly schedule through October to finish out the season. We realize that every homeowner isn't looking for weekly service, but to maintain a consistent schedule as well as follow proper mowing standards, we require weekly visits during peak growing season. We realize every homeowner is not a good fit for our service. Due to our schedule and to be fair to our weekly clients, we do not offer 1x mowing services. Shrub Trimming

Routinely trimming and shaping your shrubs not only promotes healthy growth it also gives your planting beds a manicured look all season long. Another benefit of regular shrub trimming is that debris are kept to a minimum, which helps avoid large cleanup fees. In most cases, we can perform your shrub trimming the same day we mow your lawn. This eliminates the need for additional visits in turn saving you money! Shrub trimming services are only available to our weekly mowing clients.

Shrub Trimming prices start at around $60, but prices will vary depending on the volume of shrubs and the cleanup needed. *Must be signed up for our Mowing Services to receive Shrub Trimming service.

*In most cases, we do not offer haul-away service. Light debris from shrubs will be mulched up with our mowers to reduce the need for wasteful bags. Any heavy waste will be bagged and placed at the curb for sanitation pickup.

Mulch or Pine Straw Installation

Breathe new life into your landscape by having a fresh layer of mulch or pine straw installed every Spring or Fall. New mulch will brighten your planting beds and help fight weed growth as well as add much-needed nutrients to your plants and flowers. In most cases, you only need to add a couple of inches of mulch per year. Too much mulch can damage your plants. Serene Scenes can provide just the right amount for your landscape’s needs. We use high-quality mulch to render the best results!

Mulch Installation starts at $125 per cubic yard, but pricing may vary depending on variety and other factors. Minimum per man-hour rates may apply, and these prices do not include any weeding or flowerbed prep. Sometimes, Pine Straw can be a better option for your flowerbeds due to the coverage area needed or to help keep costs down. Contact us to discuss which is the best option for your property.

How often will my lawn be mowed?

At Serene Scenes, we pride ourselves in providing all of our customers with a quality cut lawn every time. We’ve been mowing lawns since 2012 and have tested several different schedules and found that weekly mowing throughout the peak growing season yields the best results.

To begin the season, we perform an initial cut starting in mid-April to establish a healthy turf height and define concrete borders and around landscape beds. We follow a weekly mowing schedule until the last week of September and finish the season off with two mowings in October.

On average, we mow most of our lawns about 26x per season. Following this schedule helps establish a green and lush lawn that your neighbors will keep your neighbors talking!
Why don’t we bag our lawns?

The short answer is that “lawn bagging” creates waste, and waste creates problems! At Serene Scenes, we’ve always prided ourselves on giving back, and this is our way of giving back to the environment.

Studies have shown that bagging your lawn clippings creates environmental waste and removes valuable nutrients from the soil. These nutrients can assist in the overall health of your lawn, and at Serene Scenes, we want to do everything we can to provide you with a lush and green lawn.
Why don’t we offer bi-weekly mowing?

Establishing and maintaining a healthy lawn requires following the correct mowing schedule. Mowing a lawn less frequently can do more harm than good. You should never remove more than 1/3 of the grass blade during each mowing. Southern lawns grow extremely fast during the peak growing season (late May-September), even in somewhat dry conditions.
